CBD and Aging, Intro

They call it the golden years; I think it’s more like the rusty years. Aging is inevitable, and it mostly sucks! The secret is to do as much as possible to slow down this aging process. Good news, experts on aging agree that there are positive steps to take to do just this and add more enjoyable years to one’s life.

What is aging? Technically, it is when the body shifts from a constructive state (anabolism) the rejuvenating or building mode to a destructive (catabolism) breaking down of the body’s physiological systems mode, usually starting around age 40.

We all age at variable rates due to genetic and environmental factors such as; nutrition, exercise, stress, smoking and alcohol. Unfortunately, vision worsens, the brain shrinks, hearing is impaired, skin loses elasticity and collagen, smell/taste decreases, hair thins, fat increases, kidneys decrease in size, the heart weakens, lungs lose elasticity, pancreas produces less insulin and hormones go wacky.

I know DEPRESSING! The trick it to be the trickster and do whatever possible to minimize this damage. Exercise, eating healthy, cutting smoking, curtailing alcohol, meditation, brain exercises, taking supplements etc., are what is already recommended. But you can do so much more by adding CBD into your daily health routine.
