Memory loss and other brain deterioration leads to increased oxygen in the brain. CBD is an antioxidant, which reduces the problems associated with oxygen stress. It acts as a brain stimulant and neuroprotectant because of its antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Keeping stress down is an ongoing struggle for many seniors ESPECIALLY during pandemics. CBD is thought to ease anxiety by helping the body process serotonin, a hormone and neurotransmitter that plays a role in regulating emotions.
In our endocannabinoid system, CBD acts similar to anandamide, the body’s natural antidepressant. When you feel blissful and happy after a workout, that is the anandamide. CBD is believed to achieve a similar effect helping to reduce anxiety and depression.
